Screw Piles are a great foundation option for stair cases on slopes through forested terrain. Our hand installation equipment allows to tread lightly and can be utilized on steep slopes. As long as a person can gain safe footing (which can easily be established through building temporary work-platforms), a Ground Screw Foundation can be installed. We provide an environmentally friendly and non-invasive foundation building method, with virtually no permanent impact on the terrain, should the Ground Screws be removed. This is the preferred foundation system for Conservation Authorities and Building Officials.
The extendable BAYO.S system, allows for the Ground Screw to be lengthened in small sections to comfortably drive the pile deeper with the electric handheld tool.
Ground Screws are also a great choice when dealing with roots in the ground. The fine continuous thread will easily pass around smaller roots without causing damage. Larger roots 6 inches in diameter or larger, would require pre drilling of pilot holes which would damage the root. The Screw Pile could easily be repositioned and would most likely miss the root.
